Audi A4 1.8 Turbo BFB 2005 - Fault codes 17511 / P1103 B1 S1 O2 sensor performance low #

Engine Code or CC *: 1800
( Optional ) Scanner Used: vcds + texa

Hi

55 plate 1.8 turbo petrol BFB code

Came in friday light on fault code 17511 / P1103 B 1 S1 O2 sensor heater performance low intermittent.

Checked feed and switching of earth with scope OK
Replaced sensor (OE widband) roadtest Ok

Came back today same fault code lamp on

Checked feed and switching again OK checked resistance of sensor around 4 ohms

Any thoughts

Just to add to this one, I have monitored the amp draw to heater circuit for approx 1/2 on scope, including tugging wiring loom and cant find a problem

How ever, with it idling in the workshop there is noticable smoke screen, both water and oil low but thinking possible turbo failing ( this had oil pick up issue a few months ago.)

Still cant see why this would log heater circuit fault, any thoughts ?

Maybe one person read it 101 times!

I would think that an intermittent power supply fault would log this code. Have you checked a diagram to see what is common on the supply as well as checking for poor connections, wiggle test etc?

Yes had a look at wiring diagram, there are several sensors etc on supply including MAF, + both Lambda heaters. also connected scope+ amp clamp to heater wire and did a good wiggle test, no issues found.

This went out for 2 days as customer needed to use, came back now got extra code for rear sensor > 16523 B1S2 response to slow / P0139 no signal intermittent.<

Checked EOBD and get P0135 B1S1 heater and again still in VAG same > 17511 B1S1 sensor heating.<

The resistance of rear sensor heater is 14 ohms which I thought sounded high but no info on AD.
