BMW Mini Cooper S 1.6 2006 - Erratic idle, no fault codes #

Year of Manufacture *: 2006 Engine Code or CC *: 1600 ( Optional ) Scanner Used: TEXA
Hi All Has anyone had erratic idle problems on these things? Once hot the idle goes from about 500 to 1500 rpm. No problem during cold start or warm up. Our Texa came up with no fault codes and when checking parameters seemed as normal but I had to stop communication to see a customer and now I have no communication at all - even in EOBD. What I am asking is that, once I get the Texa communication issue sorted, What parameters of the throttle motor etc. should I be looking for. I know this is not the ideal post informationally but it is 3pm Saturday afternoon and I should be at home with my feet up!!! Can anyone help?

Hi Kev,
With the absence of fault codes and assuming there are no fuelling problems (emission readings?), the first port of call must be to clean throttle body and plate. Normally cures most of my vehicles with this problem.
