Vauxhall Astra F 1996 - Drivers air bag replacement #

Year of Manufacture *: N reg 95/6
Engine Code or CC *: 1300

Is replacing air bag in wheel a simple matter of just replacing it or is the resetting of lamp a problem.?

Hi, replacing the airbag is very straight forward if you take into account the fact that you have to dis-connect the battery first and allow a dis-arming time before replacing the component, and then clearing the fault code after the replacement using suitable diagnostic equipment. HTH

PS you then have the issue of the hazardous waste to get rid of.

It also depends why it is being replaced. If it is being replaced because its faulty or damage externally, or whether it has been deployed, If it has been deployed, then Crash data will be set in the ecu and the Ecu will require replacement.
