MG ZT T 1.8 Turbo 2003 - Fuel pump relay location #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Code or CC *: 1800

Hi Can anyone help, I am trying to locate the fuel pump relay for the mg zt t we have in.
The vehicle starts sometimes but not always.
The fault code stored says fuel pump relay, but have been unable to locate it

What infomation supplier are you using Auto-data, Vivid, tolerance or Rave.

Hi Dave
Well i did spend 2 minutes and logged into Vivid while i was here and the position of the relay is listed. I suspect it,s listed on AD and Tolerance as well, so it does BEG the quetion,
has David "invested in any repuable automotive data"
You know i like to be subtle

.

Yes it is frustrating when you get folks asking for information that should really be available to any professional tech/mechanic.

I was recently gob smacked, when I had a call from a local garage, asking what "fuse 23 was for" on a Pug 206 1.4 petrol. What made it worse was, that he was ringing me, because the auto electrician that he had called in to find the fault, didn't even have Autodata!

How f***in ridiculous it that!

Yes we do have autodata and yes we use it. the relay is not listed for a mg ztt, but when we look under Rover 75, one is listed but it is not in the same place. I thought this site was to help fellow members and not post childish chat room banter.

I must admit I am a little dissapointed at the response to David's post

David Holland is a long standing member of UK AutoTalk. If David is posting for information then I am quite sure that his request is genuine having used all the information (Autodata, Vivid etc) at his disposal

Could I please remind members that these are forums for professional technicians. It is these type of responses that preventing some members from posting and in some cases not renewing their membership

This profession is getting tougher by the day, so lets please try and work together to make life easier for those who are genuinely asking for help

Apologies to David.

I was commenting generally & not aiming my views at him, although with hindsight it does look like I was having a pop. If I had got access to some data, I would have posted the info. I would suggest however, that if you had already looked on Autodata & the relevant info was not there, then you ought to have said as much, to prevent others from going to any trouble in looking in the same place.

Again, sorry about that David!

Don't forget you can ring the Autodata Technical helpline on 01628 688 150 or email technical@autodata.ltd.uk as long as you have a current registration. They may have other info available, or at least you can tell them your info is wrong.
