Citroen C3 1.6 2004 - Misfire on cylinders 1 & 2 #

Engine Code or CC *: 1.6
( Optional ) ECU Type: bosch 7.4.4
( Optional ) Scanner Used: dec

Hi I have this c3 1.6 with Bosch 7.4.4. year 04
Codes for misfire on cylinders 1 & 2 that is the pulley end of engine
The owner has already replaced plugs and injectors has he was told this is common and caused by screen wash leaking onto them.
But both injectors going at the same time? and I could not find any signs of screen wash damage or stains, I have checked compressions 180 lb
Great spark, but the injectors are not working, there is a feed to them but no switch, has any one else had this or do you know of any wiring issues, and of course the dreaded ecu faults. ray

Hi

First question to consider is, Are injectors being shut down by the ECU because a misfire is detected ? ( to protect cat ) Rather than being the cause of mis fire ?

if I clear the codes the misfire is there immediately I start the car, where I would thought it would take a short while to shut down 2 injectors, 1 injector yes but shutting down 2, I will today start pulling the loom apart . ray
