Lexur RX300 3.0 2002 - Smoking, code P1135 #

I have a Lexus RX300 3.0l 24 valve in on start up from cold it smokes quite bad (white and sightly blue) runs for about 5 minutes then totaly clears. It seems to run fine not using water doesn`t seem to be using oil. Thought to start with stem seals but not sure doesn`t seem to do it all the time. I`ve pluged it in to my solus pro and on the eobd its bringing up P1135 i`ve looked it up and says air fuel (a/f)ratio sensor 1, bank 1 heater circuit malfuction. Does anyone know if this would cause the smoke

Hi Dan,

Is this just not condensation? I would want to see the emission readings especially HC's.

no it`s not condensation i will check it out today. it`s like burning oil but i don`t think it is. it`s a weird one

I have one of these beasts on my books and it is flagging same code for the O2 sensor but this has nothing to do with excess smoke,whatever colour, this sounds like a mechanical problem, head gasket for example? have you done a sniff test for HC's in the header tank?

I don't know these vehicles at all so this may be a daft suggestion but could it be any other fluid such as brake fluid thru servo or Auto box fluid thru any diaphragms?

Could be on the mark there Graham, ala the C4 ford auto's sucking in trans fluid?
