Mazda MX5 1.8 1999 - High Co level #

Year of Manufacture *: 1999
Engine Size and Code *: 1800CC

The above vehicle has a high CO level on MOT test. We have changed the cat and found it to have collapsed inside! Also we have put a new O2 sensor on. It now runs as approx .516 co instead of .30 or less on the fast idle test.
Does anyone think it could be air mass meter or know if I can adjust it?

Evening Peter,

Can I assume the o2 sensor is not a cheap after market piece of poo? Ditto the Cat. What mileage does it have? I am assuming there are no fault codes. Also can you post the 4 gas and Lambda readings please. Could it be the MAF? Certainly could plus a whole host of other things. You might have to start scoping when we get your response

!

How high was it with the knackered cat? and what was the O2 sensor telling you?
