Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 2000 - Non start, code P0340 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2000
Engine Size and Code *: 1.8
( Optional ) Scanner Used: solus
( Optional) Fault Codes: p0340

car came into us as a non runner car would start run for a couple of mins then miss fire and stop plug in car and came up with cam sensor incorrect signal fault so changed both the cam and crank sensors car still the same opened the throttle bodie and cleaned that also opened the rocker cover to check for broken cam shafts have checked spark plugs and coil pack and all plugs are firing checked timing all seems fine car is now no longer running and is now miss firing really badly still have the same code for cam sensor incorrect signal in ecu anyone got any ideas

when you say you checked the timing did you check the bottom pulley?

EVAP pipe not connected to throttle body ?? (removed or disturbed cleaning throttle body)

I would scope it on the back of the ecu. Maybe you have wiring fault.

ive opened the pulley and the timing belt cover the belt seems a little loose but the timing marks align perfect. i can only test the cam and crank sensor for voltage as i dont have a scope available (ive ordered one from snap on dealer but he's gone on 2 weeks holiday)

Hi I had one of these about six months ago ! Ecu looses earth to fuel pump when it gets hot !
replace Ecu or give fuel pump earth through inertia switch hope this helps
