BMW 5 2.5 2005 - Code description required for 3C1E & 2766 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 2500
( Optional ) Scanner Used: dec SS3

Hi

Can anyone help with these codes from engine ecu
3C1E, 2766 don't you just love unknown codes from an expensive scan tool!

3C1E = Inlet camshaft sensor: signal

2766 = Camshaft sensor signal 1: duration

Though if it has a VANOS unit then 2766 may also mean VANOS valve exhaust bank 2.
