Nissan Micra 1.2 2004 - Poor starting, code P1171 - Fixed #
Posted by Daniel Bolus on March 18, 2011, 9:26 pm nissan micra came in didn`t run bad at all but was coming up cam sensor fault and was very bad to start if it would start sometimes. usual problem timing chain stretched. stripped it down fitted new timing chain kit all marks lined up with links, put it all back together. it all fires straight up now first turn of key but its really lumpy running and popping out of the exhaust pipe and brings on engine light with the fault p1171 (intake error on snap on solus pro)and sometimes come up with multiple misfire but not always. the car will rev up sometime fine and sometime will rev to 3000 rpm then let throttle off and back on again and it will rev up again, also if you keep the car reving above 2000 rpm the light doesn`t come on until you drop back on to idle and then it hunts up and down and pops out exhaust again. ive stripped it back down again checked timing and seems spot on, ive compression tested and all cylinders the same and good. also had a quick check for air leaks but not properly because i had to get away from the car before i smashed it up. any ideas im pulling my hair out with it thanks.
