Fiat Panda 1.1 2006 - Injector fault #2 (still present) code P0202 #

Hi all,
Had a fiat panda 1.1 2006 yr recently arrive in with an injector fault. EML light on on slight hessitation in rev range, P0202 injector in fault codes, priced injector at my local dealer 200 euro plus vat!

Decided I would switch the injector from the faulted cylinder (no.2) to cyl no 1,fault have still returned to no 2,i have also changed plugs.

I have searched and it does seem injectors give problems but im not quite sure this is the cause, hence why I am posting this!

I do not have an oscilloscope and am limited to live data. A step in the right direction would be great

Hi Richie. How about a noid light on injector plug. I have had trouble before with the earth return to ecu. Found to be an ecu fault. With the fiat concerned I just linked across to another injector earth and was and still is OK. Not a proper fix but did the job.

You should also consider that the fault code may be logged in firing order i.e. injector 2 may be cylinder 3 as that is the second injection event. I am always a bit suspicious of injector codes and tend to test all although without a scope you may be confined to resistance testing. You could always swop the other 2 injectors to see if the code does move then. Worth a try.
