Hi
This car will go into limp and flag DTC P0121 throttle/pedel possition sensor/switch A circuit range/performace problem.
Before I looked at this car the garage had replaced the APP sensor, throttle body and the ECU. But still is faulty.
If I clear the DTC the light will stay out until I press the throttle pedel up to about 1.6v then it will refault with the same code. When it does you can hear the throttle motor relay drop out. This will also happen KOEO. I also bridged the throttle motor relay.
I have checked wiring from the APP to ECU, throttle body to ECU. ECU lives and earths. Charging system and tried to re-adapt the adaptions and the throttle. I have also scopped these items with the Pico.
I have to say I am at a bit of a loss where to go next.
Any suggestions would be great.
Regards
Simon

Hi
Just to update what we found so no one else chases their tails like me!
I went back to the car and rechecked my rechecking. TPS, Thottle body, wiring, lives and earths ect.
While scratching my head the garage owner mentioned that the APP was actualy a second hand unit and was one number different. Rechecked it again but couldnt fault it.
However, I asked the garage to source the correct one, and guess what, perfect running car.
I didnt get a chance to scope the new one to compare the difference.
