Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0 2006 - MIL on, code P0414 secondary air injection system solenoid #
Posted by Colin Calder on June 25, 2011, 8:52 pm
Year of Manufacture *: 2006 Engine Size and Code *: 2.0
This belongs to 'she who must be obeyed'. Has an intermitent MIL and eng: fault warning. Goes fine for days and then sometimes switch ign: on and MIL is lit, stays on for one or two journeys, then goes off, stays off for a few days etc:, etc:. Only DTC stored is:- P0414 secondary air injection system solenoid 'A' circuit shorted. Don't want too seem to thick but does anybody know where the secondary air injection system is on this and where is the solenoid and how does it function. Also noticed that IAT was reading high but that could just be 'heat soak' after recent run to the shops. Will check this again after cooldown and re-start. Car has ONLY done 13,500 miles from new. Any pointers on this would be greatly appreciated as she said "it only does it after you drive it, it's OK when I drive it"
