Audi A3 1.6 FSi 2004 - NOX sensor "Signal implausible" Upper limit exceeded, code P1035 17443 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6FSI
( Optional ) Scanner Used: VAG-COM

MIL on, above faults stored. Cannot find any measuring blocks on VAG-COm that claim to record NOX sensor behaviour.

I have not come accross NOX sensor systems before. Is there any literature available describing how they work and how to test them??

(Archive search suggests that the sensors can be an issue but can also be expensive so a testing procedure would be helpfull)

I pretty sure James Dillion has covered this in one of his Tech-Topics bulletin,s or maybe it was Peter Coombs at Tech-Club

Hi Paul
I had similar fault codes with a golf which had a nox sensor if you look in the archieves there is some readings i took from the old one and the new one. Dont know how to put a link up to the message but if you search for vw golf and my name you will find it. I was using kts. HTH
