I've inherited this job from another garage after they replaced a faulty MAF sensor. After about 30 miles, the engine fault light comes on an it logs code 2058-001 Lambda control up stream of cat. I've reset all the adaption values 3 times now and have carried out smoke test on the intake system and checked the common breather pipe failure under the air box but all seems fine. I've noted that on every occasion that I've checked the freeze frame data recorded from the first and last times that it saw the faults, the data is pretty much identical.

I'm wondering now if this could be a software issue but the thought of handing it over to a dealership to check for updates is a little scary!
