Ford Focus 1.4 2008 - Problem with clutch pedal getting soft - Fixed #

Hi

I have a Ford Focus clutch pedal getting soft intermittent
no sign of any leaks on loss of fluid
has anyone expierenced master cylinder or slave cylinder problems on these models

I have had a couple of Ford Fiestas and Ford Focus where the clutch pedal goes to the floor intermitently and then recovers without doing any thing. There is a clip that can be fitted to the master cylider /pedal link area. which should stop this. It only costs about 85p and takes 10 mins to fit. It stops the clutch master cylinder pushod from coming off of the pedal. Part number is f6843385

hi peter
just had car back in weekend,took a chance and
replaced the master cylinder, pedal is perfect now, i think the clip you said try is for the eariler models,thanks for your help
