Jeep 4.0 Petrol 1994 - CPS replacement - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: M reg
Engine Size and Code *: 4.0

Anybody replaced the CPS on one of these. Looks a bit of a #censord# of a job, I have seen a few suggestons on the web but was just wondering if anybody here has any experiance doing this?

Not as difficult as it seems. you just need long arms to reach. (oh plus a short ratchet to turn the bolt). Half an hour job.
If you are unlucky it could be the ECU !

Job done! I used a succession of extensions with wobble ends to get the access nececerry. The retaining bolts were rather stiff to undo and had to be wound out all the way and I couldnt get enough purchase with shorter extensions and the stubby drive

Not a good job to do outside in the cold though! You need to be able to see with your fingertips to get the bolts back in and numb fingers are not terribly good at this...
