Toyota RAV4 2.0 1AZFE2002 - Strange oxyen sensor capture #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0l 1azfe

hi everyone i had this in for a service and as i usualy do i captured some waveforms for my files
and i thought that this oxygen sensor looks unusual to me. does anybody know what type of
sensor this engine uses and if this capture is
normal? it has 4 wires 2 black 1 white and a blue
which is the signal one. also the engine runs fine and there are no issues with the car.

Hi
I can not work out your voltages on your scope
But

I believe these sensors are zirconia sensors 0v-1v range.
Black- heater
Black- heater
Blue- signal
White- earth

hi james the voltages are on top of the first
waveform high704mv low 440mv so this is how it's
switching on idle. and the second waveform is on
high idle and switching every 1.160s
if it's a zirconia 0.1v-0.8v sensor then it's on it's way out.but no symptoms,strange!

probe settings are at 10.1? if yes try at 1.1

probe setting is correct i have always used
10.1

Hi George
Can you test 4gas readings at idle and fast idle to compare with the scope readings.

no jim the car has gone now but is due for a mot
and i will make a phone call on monday to find
outif it's passed and will let you know

yes the car has passed the mot test as it was with those slow and half switching oxygen sensors

The O2 sensor before cat are 4 wire wideband sensors. The voltage is changed internal of the ECU and can not be measured in the traditional way.

That's why it might look strange
