Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 Z14XE 2005 - Intermittent non start - Fixed #
Posted by Dave Emm on February 24, 2012, 7:09 pm This vehicle has an intermittent non start problem. When it does run it is absolutely fine you would'nt know it has a problem. It usually starts ok first time, but if then switched off it is very reluctant to start again. When turning over it pops in the exhaust then after a few turns it sounds as though its too far advanced and struggles to get over compression. The plugs were found to be black and sooty as though there is incomplete combustion. Have checked emissions, scoped crank sensor, cam sensor, map sensor, O2 sensor, all OK. Fitted new coil pack and plugs (genuine)in desperation but no change. There are no codes recorded and when I try to go into live data the Verus loses communication. If I had any hair I would now be pulling it out by the handful.
