Micra K12 2003 1.2 Timing Chain (scope pattern included) Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Size and Code *: 1200
( Optional ) ECU Type: ECCS 2
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Solus Pro
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0340 Cam Pos sensor

Hi All,

I have above vehicle with poor cold running and starting. (40,000 miles)

Cam sensor pattern is fine and i know these have trouble with chains so don't want to put a sensor on it.

I have included a scope image.

I dont have any reference images to compare to other than the ones on this site and the internet.

Can someone tell me if the cam and crank synchronisation is too far out from my scope capture without the need to remove cover to examine tensioner?

Any help would be appreciated.

OK,

Took off engine mount and looked at tensioner.

About 18mm protusion.

See photo.

Hope this of use to someone in the future.

it looks wrong the waveform i have posted is of a good one let us know the method you chose to do the job and how long it takes to complete

This one is fixed now.

I didn't do it myself but the guy who did it took the engine out.

I also missed scoping the cam / crank sensors with the new chain kit fitted.
