Hi
I have this corsa 54 plate with a 1.2 16v with the bosch 1.5.5 ecu. I am using tech 2. I can’t get coms with the ecu or immobilizer. The engine mil light flashes tell me the ecu is immobilized. I can get comms with the bcm and abs. The can wires seem to go from the bcm to the abs to engine ecu. I have tested the can leads including put a load on them, I have tried by passing the abs by joining the 2 can leads together, I have tried a second ecu. The ecu is live as the idle control works and I have 5 volts on the system, I also have some live data from the ecu viva the bcm like engine rpm when I crank the engine and engine temp. ray

Have you tried adding your own earth to the ecu casing as this is a common problem with them.
Can you talk to the engine ecu if you disconnect the immobiliser ecu.
Can't remember which wires you bridge out at the immobilise ecu so it allows comms with engine ecu as i don't have access to a wiring diagram.
Has it been jump started the wrong way round and spiked the immobiliser ecu as i've had 2 in where this has happened in the last 3 months.
1 needed another immobiliser ecu & key, the other needed an engine ecu.
tried disconneting imbolizer still no comms tried conecting s/hand imbolizer and bingo got conection now can I program the s/hand imbolizer to the ecu there is no ecu reset on the ecu????? ray

yes you can well done lee many thanks car now running just got to put it back together
Good thing about Vauxhall's (not sure about the newer models though) is you can reset most modules and reuse them but difficult without the security codes.
Did you already have the correct code for the s/h immobiliser ecu then becasue i'm fairly sure it wont work if its not rest/reprogramed to pari up with the rest of the system.
