Need a bit of help if possible please guys?
This car came in as a non start and fixed the problem by replacing a faulty MAP sensor and tightening the pins on the Fuel Pressure Sensor, codes have cleared and all is good!
My problem is that during the diagnostic procedure I suspected a software issue at one point and so updated it to the latest version, needless to say it didnt solve the problem.
Although my original fault is now cured I seem to have created a new fault; since the reflash I now have the above DTCs logged and the car wont go above 5 mph!! The DTCs are P1550 Electronic Throttle Control Power Management, and P1526 Throttle Control Malfunction! Im guessing its a bit like on VAGs when you reset adaptations and then have to readapt the thottle but I cant find any option to do this on tech2??
Anybody got any clue what I've done and how to fix it because I honestly havent got a clue!
Hi Craig Did anybody clear the codes before you saw it and when you got it running it flagged those codes
Try cleaning the throttle body. On the vaux i have done i think there is just a reset adaptions, which resets everything.
Try reloading the software by changing the vin by 1 digit then reload it correctly.
Have you got access to vaux tis.
Lives and earths to ecu, and wiring to throttle body.

Thanks for your reply Ian but it seems to have sorted itself out. I went to bring the car in at the end of the day and it ran perfect so cleared codes and went for a spin and it was perfect!!
The only reason I can think of is that despite following the programming instructions exactly, (switch off the ignition for 30 seconds to reset the control units) I think that kicking the vehicle out and fully disconnecting all scantools, removing key and locking the doors etc for an hour or so actually allowed the controllers to reset, as opposed to the 30 seconds TIS said it required!?!
