Volvo 940 B230FK 1998 - Wiring diagram for engine management required - Fixed #

Engine Size and Code *: B230FK
( Optional ) ECU Type: Bosch

Hi would anyone have a wiring diagram for engine management on a 1998 Volvo 940 2.3 B230FK enine.Am struggling to sort a poor start/suspect cooling sensor circuit fault.Fans go all time/car wont start cold-suspect thinks its hot all the time...

Looked there already.Unfortunatly its not,says no info available,and i have the latest up to date online system......

Funny, I thought I saw it earlier.

You should be running a EZ Ignition system and a LH2.4 jetronic set up?

If so Pin 2 of the EZ module & pin 13 of the LH (fuel)ECU are your two temp inputs.

If its running the later system please let me know.

Hi thanks for that mark.Have checked wiring to both icm and lh2.4 unit-all good.Have replaced sensor and connector for good bosch replacments,no difference.Have disconnected ac switchs as these can also activate cooling fans.Still drawing a blank......car very poor start cold/fans activate almost immediately like as said before suspect thinks it hot.When engine warmed up runs o.k....Only code that ever reoccurs is coolant sensor.....any ideas....ecu had it......Nigel.

What are the emission readings when cold ? do they tie in with your thoughts ? whats the fuel pressure ? whats the MAP reading ? What DTC have you got 123 ?

How quickly does that fault code return?

Have you tried monitoring the CTS voltage with a scope over full warm up cycle ?

May be worth a call to AD for a wiring diagram, they may have it in some form (e.g. book) at that age. A lot of the older stuff was not b put on the on line version

FIXED....Finally managed to source a good ECU for reasonable amount and fault fixed...
