Nissan Micra 1.3 K13 2012 - Code P0133 - Fixed #

Hi everyone

I have a 2012 micra in with p0133 o2 sensor circuit bank I sensor 1 and mil on and a slight hesitation when accelerating. In live data the sensor 1 is mentioned as equivalence ratio and at 3.000rpm it shows 1.00 which is the same as a saved previous live data of the same car. sensor 2 also is the same. The only difference between the previous and the current live data is the fuel trims are now about 12% and before it was 6% also the spark plugs are a bit sooty. does it look to you that there is a slight air leak and to compensate it's over fueling?

Hi

2012 is it not under warranty ?

Does the fault code clear ?

Micra's had in issue with fault rear sensors effecting front sensor,(and flagging front sensor code) not sure if this was fixed by 2012.

I had a 2006 with rear sensor fault effecting front sensor and with poor running and not flagging any faults

Try scoping front and rear sensors to see what is happening , also try running with rear disconnected see if it fixes the hesitation fault

Are you fuel trim numbers better at higher revs?

thanks for your replies I tried to scope the front sensor but as it was broadband I couldn't make any sense of it. in live data it refers to it as equivalence sensor and the output is the same as the required and as I said this is the same as the saved live data taken a few months ago. the fuel trims do reduce a bit at higher revs does this mean something? after using a different scanner I got a better description of the fault it said sensor one slow response. the fault cleared but came back after 14 miles. if it was the normal oxygen sensor I would have no problem confirming if it was slow but how do you check this equivalence sensor? by the way it costs £300 from nissan

Just thinking about the response time, could you see how quickly it responds on live data to a forced fuelling change I.e pulling off the servo pipe to force a lean condition or forcing hydrocarbons down the intake to force a rich condition and see how quickly the pre cat (and post cat) lambda responds.

Does the lambda respond quickly to snap throttle and over run shut off on live data.

yes you see a little change in live data at higher revs but you have no way of knowing if the change happens fast enough for the computer to be happy with it as it was with the old system where you could see how many times it could change in a second. bear in mind that I have limited live data as I am working through eobd the car is too new for my scanners 2012

This one is fixed now it was the front sensor and replaced by the dealer through warranty
