Mercedes Benz A160 1.6 2000 - Goes to stall at idle / ESP light on, codes 0605 & C1022 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2000
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6
( Optional ) Scanner Used: KTS

Hi All,

After start up, about 30seconds or so engine revs drop, goes to stall, revs pick back up and ESP light comes on.

These codes pop up as soon as these happens:

ECM code, 0605, control model fault

ABS/ESP code, C1022, Can message no data

Looking back on here, found that the ESP relay can go faulty, replaced with a known good one still the same.

Any advice on this head scratcher would be great.

So no testing carried out as yet ?

Carry out a global scan, assess your findings and then get your scope out.
