Aston Martin Vantage V8 - Unable to communicate #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 4.3

Hi , got one of my regular customers with a engine management light on and cutting out when driving.

I'm unable to communicate at all with the vehicle, using Autocom or Maxidas using OBD.
Any ideas if any scanners can communicate with these cars?
Before I send him off to the dealer.

Do you have live and Earth at the DL16 connector. Seen a lack of lives on the DL16 plug on a few cars lately and a Rover with a poor but present live causing lack of coms.

Got a sneaky feeling that these are possibly exempt from EOBD, because of the low numbers produced. Worked on one a few months ago and tried 3 different scanners on it with no comms on any. Mine had 2 sockets, one for engine and one for chassis electronics. Probable that only dealer equipment will do it. Impressed with build quality body wise, not so good on internal trim, put me in mind of old tatty Range Rovers! Regards Gwyn

Hi thanks for the replies, didn't spend much time with this car, took it to an independent specialist as there were other issues.
Apparently, he told me they use Ford ecu's, and they should be able to communicate via obd.
