Peugeot 307 1.6 2005 - Code P0431 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 1600
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0341

Hi. Not looking for a diagnostic fix. More some info. Above code which came out as cyl 1 ref sensor which I assume is cam sensor. My question is, does this engine have a cam shaft sensor. I have looked the usual places but to no avail. One mechanic who came in to collect an mot I had done for him said it does not have one and uses the coil pack to pick up number one. Anyone enlighten an auld gizzard

Hi les,yes this fault codes usually refers to phase sensor,which is coil related usually cheap coil packs.have had customers from aa and rac,sagam genuine coil usually cures.I would check a wiring diagram for this model to be sure.
