Well, been a busy couple of days. Keeping my Grands quite a lot, both their parents are sick (not Covid, but causing low oxygen levels)
Jennifer is getting better, but Jason is in the thick of it, very sick.
Dr gave him antibiotics just to throw everything at it, though he was also negative for Strep.
Kids okay so far, just cranky as all get-out.
I had Dewayne save them 4 big cabinet 📦 boxes & they have had a ball playing/fighting/banging (Mama had to close her door when JJ decided to go in HIS box & play the harmonica!
Lawzy, how did we survive 18 years when ours were this young & the teen years?
My poor arm is VERY sore, from doing the exercises the PT prescribed & from actually mopping and vacuuming my house for the first time in a month.
(Hubby mopped last, and he said it gave him a backache!😄 )
Big Grand was here with me all day, she helped me fold & stuff inserts in this week's bulletins (have taken 8 weeks off from the job)
Then after eating some of my home canned green beans with onions & yellow potatoes in them (she made me feel good by asking if I would show her Mama how I make them) and a piece of cornbread (ditto) She helped me by Pledging & Windexing all the surfaces she could reach!
Sure *smells* cleaner in here, anyway.
I am now icing my arm, and Mama is lying with her poor legs raised to help the lymphedema.
That's my report for today.
Next 3 weeks it's PT 3x a week then we will see if they think the suspected rotator cuff tear 😢 is healing.
PT said I can use a riding mower IF it has power steering....hubby says mine does NOT.
So. More delay in my favorite summertime activity.
Two other things happened yesterday, unfortunately they were both deaths. One a church member who has fought bladder cancer for 3 years and it is a relief to know he is at rest till Jesus comes, the other our Aunt Joan, who passed only 3 weeks after being diagnosed with 4th stage lung cancer.
Ditto her no longer suffering.
I glad it was not a long, drawn-out death.
See y'all 🖐
