Re: The county fair,
Mercy I can almost smell those Philly steak subs cooking up with peppers and onions. Or those big funnel cakes with powdered sugar all over them. I haven't been to a fair in about 15 years I guess and we have a good one just about 90 minute drive away up in Hiawassee. It's usually too hot for me to walk around at those and I get tired so easily. But maybe with my rollator walker that I can sit on if I have to, I could enjoy it more. I loved looking at all the animals. There is a great state fair up where Stan used to live in Ohio. They have a huge draft horse competition there every year. Now I'd love to go to that and I imagine it wouldn't be too awful hot up there. Now RM, fish and fairs should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Like, eeeww. I don't remember any seafood at any fair, even the big one outside of Tampa. My kids all used to be part of 4-H and sometimes we would take some of them to show their horses at the one near Tampa. I used to hate hauling a horse trailer. Never could get the hang of backing one up without making it jackknife.
