Good morning. I slept like a log last night and yes, it's raining here too. I let the dogs out just to take care of business and that youngest crazy one was running all over the yard, jumping in the wading pool on the deck and going crazy. She loves the rain. That is so strange with Scotties. So now I have a soggy dog on my hands to try to dry off. Looking forward to a nice quiet morning with Stan delivering Meals on Wheels this morning. Hope he doesn't get too wet. On Wednesday he's taking the car to Gwinnett County to be serviced so I'll have another quiet morning tomorrow. Gifts like rainy days alone are to be cherished. He had last night alone because my son picked me up and took me to my granddaughter's basketball game. There is no doubt that she was MVP. She was making a bunch of 3 point long shots and goals all over the place. They won by about 35 points. That kid can play. She's playing on an 8th grade team even though she's only in 7th grade. She's also very good at soccer. I asked my son if he pushes her in this or if this is her choice and he said it is very much her choice. Her cousin has a horse and I asked him if she wouldn't enjoy a horse for a change and he said that if she had a horse she said she would be wanting to compete in barrel racing or jumping. She's not the type to ride slowly around in a circle doing dressage or take leisurely trail rides. Probably best she doesn't get one. I don't know where that competitive spirit came from because it sure didn't come from my Irish/Ukrainian blood. Okay, maybe I enjoyed a good chukka of polo now and then but mostly I liked trail rides. And I never cared much whether we won or lot as long as there was wine and cheese following. Well, yawl have a blessed day. That's my bragging on grandkids for the day. Probably. Although I could tell you about her brother. Maybe another day. But he is on a racing team that works out of Dawsonville.
