Sorry to hear about your uncle, CL. It’s hard when you hear things like that and can’t change them. Although we can always pray for peace and comfort. My brother has been stuck in a small room in an assisted living center for three years now. He has Parkinson's real bad and is losing his memory. We were mortal enemies as kids but I pray for him everyday now. It’s almost like he’s a prisoner. My younger brother is thinking about trying to try take him out for a short ride or something but one lives in Colorado and the other is in Pennsylvania so it would be quite a trip for him. Hope he does it. The younger one is a registered nurse so he’d be more than qualified to keep a good eye on the older one. I dread living in a nursing home more than dying. My Aunt Ruth has been in one for 7 years and totally bedridden for 5 of those 7. But she is always cheerful when you talk with her on the phone. That has to be the joy of the Lord living through her.
