I am finally home.
Well, everything looks good x-ray wise, etc. but for the last few days I have had redness and intense itching on either side of my incision, besides the swelling, which is normal.
The Nurse Practioner I saw today says it could be an allergy to the meds in my bone graft substitute, and she said besides the Benedryl which I have been taking at night to take a couple of other meds that block histamine. (Basically allergy 💊 pills)
She also called in an additional week of my antibiotic capsules, just in case it is an infection trying to develop, but she doesn't believe it is, since there is no drainage, etc.
Other than that, I am having moderate pain, nothing terrible. She says NO lifting heavy objects or doing even range of motion exercises yet, and made another appt for next week.
The bad thing is the office where she will be next week is way over an hour away, snd we have to be there at 7:45....ugh.
I am hoping the arm clears up and I can cancel it....but we will see.
Y'all have a good evening. I am going to have to take a nap, I slept about 2.5 hours 😴 last night and am actually sick with tiredness.
KK, you are probably right too-the kids wear me out but I love ❤️ keeping them
