When I was bout 11 / early 1950's - I would take my Nickle and ride my old Ballon tire bike or walk to Mrs. Tarrel's little store years back when we live at Lake Bradford to get me my Belly Washer in a glass bottle a R/C Cola 12 oz. if I member right but it had went up over night to Six Cents and that was my first experience with inflation cause I didn't have that extra penny and Bung like you said it never stopped since bummer
