Re: hey hey,,FUN TUESDAY
Aaargh! I had a nice long post and accidentally lost it. This is how my morning has gone. But good Fun Tuesday Morning to everyone once again. I'm up early because of two dogs crying for each other as if they were dying. Trust me, they are not dying from anything except their carnal lusts. Where's a good Baptist preacher when you need one? Ellie is on a hunger strike but she will eat again when she gets over her hurt feelings and if she thinks Maisie will steal her breakfast. Buddy is barking and crying like Lassie when Timmy fell in the well. I'm guzzling the coffee, trying to calm my nerves. As soon as we can figure out the dynamics of crossing a dog gate with linens, I will wash my sheets and get them out on the line. Supposed to be sunny and 79 degrees here today - not the weather you expect for the last day of February. Where have my quiet winter months gone? We have to find somebody to do our yardwork and that is not going to be easy. How do you find somebody you know will not rob you blind or come back and hit you over the head in the middle of the night to get whatever pills you have in the house? The bigshot landscapers charge ridiculous amounts of money and the local boys all seem to have police records. I'm sure there are good folks out there looking for work, but how do you make the right choice? This is going to be a two cup of coffee kind of morning I'm thinking. Still waiting to hear something on our car. And I hear that the energy department has issued a statement that Covid did come from a lab in China. Well, duh. Trump has said that for years and anyone who believed him was considered brain challenged. So it was the Chinese disease all along. Well, the Democrats spin lies daily that the public buys but even when the truth is revealed they act as if they didn't hear anything. But how can I get a good mood back this morning? The coffee isn't doing it. Going to take something stronger, like maybe a doughnut or something. Only I don't have any. What are gas prices like around your place? It was $2.84 yesterday at the Walmart in Cleveland, GA. Coming down a little. Now if food prices would only start to come down a little. We still have most of the 4 dozen eggs Stan bought the other day. When he sees me get the egg carton out he asks, Can we really afford that? So I feel guilty and put it back in. I should tell him, no and we can't afford for you to use that toilet paper - go out to the hose and rinse off. As if. I'm still not in a better mood. You could probably tell. My bad. But you try to be in a good mood with two dogs crying all the time. Remember the whine when the teenagers wanted to go out to the movies with their friends and you suspected they'd be meeting that person of the opposite sex that you told them they couldn't see? Yeah, it's like that. Well, have a nice Fun Tuesday if you can, knowing what things are like here for me.
