Re: Good Morning
Good morning all. It seems that the collapse of buildings is increasing in Florida lately. The climate changers would say that the water levels are rising and causing it. I don't know if that's true. And then there are the hurricanes. As much as I miss Florida sometimes I'm kinda glad I'm up here in Georgia where we mostly just deal with the occasional tornado or two. That dangerous season is coming up on us. It seemed like it used to be mainly spring but now we get almost as many in the fall. Well, it's Wednesday the 13th but don't let that worry you. I have no plans today except to wash some clothes in that fancy blue machine we got last week. I might tidy up a little here and a little there, too. Still have to change my goose's outfit. I have one of those big ceramic gooses that comes with an outfit for each month. It gets changed about twice a year. The Santa outfit begins to look a little redundant around Easter. I also have a scrarecrow I put out in the fall and a fall door wreath. Other than that, I would have to spend money on new fall flowers and I haven't quite gotten Mr. Tight Toes on board with that yet but I do want it to look nice when my sisters come to visit. I've told him that if something happens to me he will be expected to marry one of my widowed sisters and I think that scares him. It's not that I'd be such a great loss - it's their politics that scare him. Well, Octavia or Tave as we call her, is the easiest going of the three but I don't know how well she'll put up with the dogs. She is a clean freak. The next sister, Ruth, is a dog person but she already has a pit bull and there's no way I'd let my babies go live with a pit bull. I would haunt Stan for sure if he did that. Plus Ruth is the most political of them all. Mary is the oldest and seems content as she is. She has a nice house but it is on a lake and there are alligators in that lake. We all know that alligators like to eat dogs. Maybe he should just stay single if I go. Then again, there are a couple of widows in our Scottie club that might work quite well. These are things I usually think about around 2 in the morning. Well, y'all have a blessed day and just ignore the 13th business. It's only supposed to be unlucky on Fridays for some dumb reason. I know where the 13 comes from - 13 people at the Lord's Supper, although I suspect there were more, preparing the food, serving it and cleaning up. Unless His disciples did that. What do you think? You think it was the women who did all the cooking and cleaning for that or did the men pitch in? Whoever gets to Heaven first can ask. Personally, I think I'll ask John. Sometimes Peter could be a little testy.
