RM - I had a couple of friends from Colorado come down a few years ago and we had planned a trip to NASA. So I took them down A1A thinking they might enjoy the ocean views. At Mayport, we took the ferry across and then through Atlantic, Neptune and Jax beaches and on thru Ponte Vedra. The traffic thru the beaches but especially Ponte Vedra was very heavy. All of that end is very commercialized now so you probably wouldn't recognize it now. We did stop in St. Augustine and they did enjoy that. They also enjoyed NASA when we went thru that. Then we made the rounds over to Ocala so I could take them to Silver Springs. It seemed to be just a shell of itself since the state took it over but the grounds were still beautiful. My company enjoyed the glass bottom boat ride.I'm thinking you are right about TPC Sawgrass really changing the area but perhaps not for the better.
