AV and RM, I hope yall enjoy this story, Bung and Deem, ya'll might like it too. I've told ya'll about the bit double trunk chinnyberry tree in our back yard, One trunk trunk leaned a rat smart then turneed up and growed straight. I've mention our ole redbone hound dog rattler, Well this story includes both of em. We had a big mature billy goat that liked to run up that tree to where it turned up , in fact he did it so much there was a paw print rat where he turned around, imbedded in the barkm of that tree. I called that goat wild Bill, he was full of mischif. He stayed in the pasture when he wanted to but he could jump the five foot fence when he wanted to. When I'd go in the pasture to pour feed in the feed trough, he would rear up on his hine legs paw at me like he waNTED TO BOX SO i BALL UP MY fist and poke at him a time or too and when he'd take a couple of steps toward me I'd get back out that gate rat quick like.Wild Bill loved to aggavate ole rattler so he'd jump the fence and come up in the yard and get ole rattler to chase him, well atter a while he'd run up that tree but he didn't know rattler could run up that tree a ways his self, one day he found rattler laying in the shade and he would run up to him and jump over him, some times cross ways and then length ways when rattler had enough of his jumping over him he kindly turned over to one side and had his front feet to where he could spring up when he wanted to. When wild bill made his last jump ole rattler jumped up and grabbed his hanging down thingie, he chomped down pretty good too and wild bill let out a yell like you wouldn't believe and hit the ground running wide open, he jumped that fence and headed straight down to the spring at the bottom of the hill that all the stock drank from he just did a big belly flop in the stream that went from the spring. I think that cool water musta felt good to his under side, he stayed there a long time That shore broke him up from picking at ole rattler, when he'd see rattler layin in the shade he'd go way around him I don't think he ever forgot rattler's part in the jumping game.
