Good evening all. Faversham, Dougin? That's a little town in England, right? Well, CL had to pay for a new transmission. We had both our A/C and our hot water heater go up on this week. Between the two of them it cost us $2,000. I was getting ready to replace the kitchen floor but I guess that project is now on hold until we build up some reserves, which is almost impossible in this economy. But 9 years ago our dog, Buddy, when he was still a pup, chewed a huge hole in the tile floor that went through three levels of tile down to the sub floor. We keep the hole covered with a mat but that mat is not safe for us old folks to walk on. We almost trip over it on a daily basis. Anyways, have to pull up 3 levels of tile and then put down new tile under heavy appliances and a couple of large oak cupboards. Plus, I'm still waiting to get our old shower converted into a pantry for the kitchen. Figure the pantry job will be at least $5,000. What's a vinyl sheet floor go for these days for a modest sized galley kitchen and a mud room about 11 x 10? Santa Clause may be traveling real light this Christmas. Did I mention that I have a new great granddaughter in the making? Not due till first of March so we still have a long wait. They have already chosen her name Coraline Faye. Did I already tell you guys all this stuff? Probably. I find that I repeat myself a lot just like my mom used to do. Oh well, I'm in my 70's so it is what it is. Amtrak train tonight at Tucson around 9:30-10 if it's anywhere's near ontime, which it never is. Y'all have a blessed night. Pretty soon I'll be taking a nice hot shower (took a couple of cold ones while we were waiting on the plumber - not fun. Not fun at all.)
