Oh CL, that is such a frustrating situation. I worry about my 103 year old aunt in a Las Vegas, NV nursing home. She never complains but I can't help wondering if she is just left lying there hour after hour. I'm glad your mom has you in her corner. RM, I don't think folks in NC thought it would ever get this bad. A lot of them did not have any kind of flood insurance because it had never flooded there. And now they're having more and more mudslides everyday. How do you prepare for a mudslide. We're sorta on top of a hill with our creek a good 70 feet lower than the house but what if our hill slid down. You just don't know when you get a rain like they got. I'm looking at solar generators. Has anyone ever tried one? I'm afraid gas could be hard to get sometime, especially if we were snowed in. And the Patriot page has those solar water heaters, too. You just put them out on your porch and they get the water hot enough to boil an egg supposedly. Something like that might be good to have. I don't like to get in a panic mode but strange things are happening lately and obviously the government is not here to help. $647,000 million taken out of the FEMA fund to assist illegal aliens. That's our tax money they dipped into our pockets to steal. Makes me so angry. But today we have food, electricity, a roof over our heads and a Bible to read at our leisure so all is good.
