Good afternoon all. Well my family came through okay. The one who lived in Tampa spent the night at her daughter's at Melbourne Beach, She returned to her house today and it wasn't damaged but she did not have power. The one who lived in Dunnellen (near Ocala) drove about 100 miles north to a hotel and then returned today. Her house was also not damaged but had no power. The one who lived in Ocala proper and refused to go anywhere was asked how was the storm. She said she didn't know, she apparently slept through it. She still has power. Still waiting to hear from the nephew who owns a house on Sarasota Beach and the niece who has a place on Indian Rocks. All in all, they are survivors and that's what matters most. AV, hope you are doing better health wise. Keeping you in my prayers. Whew, all our Florida friends dodged a bullet on this one apparently. Sad about the tornadoes but we know that one of those twisters can easily take 10 lives in a heartbet. Today is so pretty out. We went to Petsmart for some dogfood and Whataburger for lunch. I got the sweety & spicy hamburger and could not even eat half of it, it was just too big. It really was good though. But $32 for two of us to have a couple of burgers, fries and two milkshakes. One of the priciest hamburger places out there. Well, we're home now, full as ticks and ready for a good nap while we wait for the Amtrak to come to the live Tucson VR site on youtube tonight around 10ish. The #3 Amtrak (the Chief) goes through the Ft. Madison VR rail site between 7 and 7:30 pm if you'd like to watch that one. This time of year the sun sets so pretty and golden on the Mississippi River with that old orange swing bridge in the back. Very scenic to watch. Y'all have a blessed day. God sure answered prayer when it came to my kinfolk in Florida and I sure am grateful.
