SINGING AMERICA

Listen ! Listen close !
Hear America singing.
Yes, she is singing.
She sings a proud song.
She sings a song of freedom.
Freedom for all her people.
Freedom to speak, freedom to write
one's ideas.
Freedom to worship as one pleases.
She sings a song of beauty,
for she is beautiful.
her mountains tall, her valleys green,
her waters.....all beautiful.
Yes, she sings her song.
Keep singing !
She sings to the creatures
of the wood.
To the fishes of her waters
and to the birds in her skies.
But most of all, she sings to us.
She sings her song to you and to me.
A song of freedom, as song of joy,
A song of hope.
She sings for us, for we are America.
So join in and sing the song.
Sing it loud and sing it long.
Sing it so the whole world can hear !
For we are America.
And let us never forget to thank the Lord above !
How He has blessed this land !
THANK GOD, WE CAN SING !
