Hi, I wanted to write to notify you that my father, Denzil Rushton, who served on the William R. Rush from September 1945 to July 1946, passed away last month on the 2nd. I know he was a member of your association.

In his effects is a cigarette lighter that says William R. Rush and a date in September 1945 (I think the 19th) Have you ever heard of this item? Were these given out to all the crew?
