My granddaughter and family attended the blessing of the waters at the Washington D.C. Memorial last week and then went into the memorial and found their great-grandfather James Mack Saunders who served aboard the Rush. They could not find a plaque honoring the William Rush DD714 among all the ships on the wall and we are all wondering why.
