I used to hang around in the area in 60/70/80 etc. but missed this when I was away. In the 60s I still remember seeing the signs on windows 'No Irish, No blacks, No dogs' ads for bedsits in the area. The whole place has gentrified to #### now.

Culminated in Southall in '79 with Blair Peach murder, I guess, ushering in Thatcher, the milk snatcher, era.
