"Candour" was in fact an extremely nationalistic anti-semitic newsheet (Now long defunct I should imagine and hope) that encouraged its readers to vote for the National Front -- this in 1967. A previous issue had a long article about the BBC denying the authenticity of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion with extensive quotes from the Protocols and the editor pointing out that while they might have been faked they nonetheless contained the truth (ie, the true intent of the Jews).
