As a matter of interest, I was scanned today at my local DGH by a gamma camera made in Germany for a giant US corporation.

The agent used to temporarily block my thyroid production comes from France and is made by the same giant US corporation. It used to be produced by an in-house radiopharmacy department which has been closed down. A British company used to supply the original 'mother' agent but the company has been acquired by the same US corporation.

The nurses who administered the injection yesterday were from the Phillipines. All were very efficient, kind and professional as was the radiographer today who is Polish. The department's consultant came to work here from South Africa and he was trained there.

We depend on these caring members of staff who come from abroad who look after us and who work hard in our NHS.

Should we feel uneasy that other countries are being deprived of their health professionals to look after us?

BUT this British senior member of staff from another department at the same DGH was caught doing this in 2017.

'He was ordered to pay back £80,000 after an IT scam and he and his accomplice
were both jailed after they defrauded the NHS trust which runs the hospital of £half a million.'

How did they dare do that and betray their colleagues.
