Thanks SB, was going to post that Empire Files vid. Can't believe they're all going to be forced to leave though. The spooks & special forces will surely stay as the demented one suggested, and Grayzone reported that they're talking about keeping 'at least two' military bases in the country - https://thegrayzone.com/2021/04/16/biden-afghanistan-war-privatizing-contractors/ (their source: https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2020-12-02/us-military-to-keep-two-larger-afghan-bases-after-drawdown-to-2-500 ) Power concedes nothing without a demand, which is why I'm struggling to believe this pull-out will actually happen. Who has been making that forceful 'demand'? Not the Afghan resistance of late, certainly not the US public. Either they think they'll be able to do it on the cheap without a constant troop presence or it really is a defeat and they just can't afford it any more. A huge geostrategic prize to give without a fight though...
