This is not a small concern then to be put aside is it? I'm guessing the same concern applies to everyone, but risk mitigation means it might be better (if effective) to give to the old. If the end result is that we need a new vaccine every year to be applied globally to ever more virulent strains, and the poorest get them last, we might end up asking what path we put ourselves on and why?
No discussion of risks leaves us in the dark. Media analysis seems relevant. It might make your job harder, but is that a good reason to button lips on concerns?

I have no comment either way on either personally, but just because for example flat earthers exist doesn't mean I should stop reading Terry pratchett. Less censorship rather than more seems a good way to go these days. Otherwise what is the point of discussion on anything?
