Well done John, all unarguable and damning. 'Social murder' indeed, and yet I too think they will be allowed to get away with it. The engineered ignorance of the populace never fails to astound. Even now I bet at least 50% of the public thinks the government did a good job over covid, or at least 'as well as could be expected given the circumstances'. Chalk it up to the media, trained conformity, stockholm syndrome or the false perception that the system still makes them better off somehow, it's still stunning. And as you point out a terrible portent of how things are going to pan out with climate change & social collapse. What will it take to break the average person's identification with the system that is exploiting them, even sentencing them & their kids to death?
