Meanwhile, I suspect that this mini-study (NIST's model 'real' outcome) may not be something that Hulsey's team was concentrating on. But, in all seriousness this should have not been in the report. NIST can take this apart in a jiffy.
Keeping our eyes on the big picture, for the rest of the report i.e. showing that severing of the columns in two locations to produce the 'perfect' collapse (as seen in the real-life video) still stands up imo. Mike West hasn't gone there. He seems to be keeping his cards close to his chest and is merely showing the faults within this 'mini-study'. Pity that.
Perhaps Hulsey may have seen this critique and cannot answer without revealing that the report may be faulty in parts which obviously brings into question the remainder of the report. Shame.
I wish I could get my hands on this s/ware and run it through myself with luxury of limitless time and funding - if wishes were fishes.
